If you ask me to tell you about myself, one of the very first things I will tell you is that I am Jewish. It is an extremely important part of my identity. I wear my Star because now, more than ever, it is necessary to show the world that I am proud of who I am and that I stand alongside and support all of the women and men who share my heritage.

I wear mine as the great grandson and grandson of Shoah survivors. They tried to denigrate us by having us wear it. The Magen David is our strength. It is with pride I wear it. Every yarmulka I own has a Magen David on it. In dark times, in good times, we are proud to be Jews.

In times like this, it is important for me to stay true to my beliefs. Although the antisemitism from Hamas has shaken me to my core, I am not afraid. If anything, these rough times have made me grow closer with my Jewish faith and identity. Having been born Jewish, but not raised Jewish I reconnected with my roots after my first semester of college and I have no regrets. I wear mine with resilience and confidence that we will survive this.

I am wearing my Jewish star to convince myself not to be afraid to show who I am. I have been hiding my identity all these years and I’m tired of being afraid. No more. All of the soldiers are fighting for my right to wear this star and I’m not going to let them down!

It’s the way I show my pride. It’s my way to connect to other Jews that also carry the star. I never let people scare me enough to make me hide my star, I always display it and it makes me feel stronger and more connected to god and our homeland. The star is representing our nation and our language. What isn’t there to be proud of?

As a second generation for a Holocaust survivor, Now more then ever i wear my star with pride.

it’s not A piece of jewelry for me.
Our star it’s our identity, a reminder of what we’ve been through and still going through where antisemitism these days is loud, it’s showing how stronger we are against those who are such full of hate to us. When I wear my star I’m reminding myself that I’m also standing for those who can’t.

after October 7th i used my voice and platform to stand with my country against terrorism and For the first time in my life I felt that what I’m am doing is important.
For my people, for my family and friends. Most importantly for our future. We need to stand together always, no matter what, and Right now until every hostage will be back My heart will remain in Gaza.
By the end of the day I get to be a part of the most beautiful and special community. I will never hide who I am. 💙🇮🇱

On my bat mitzvah I was gifted a Jewish star necklace from Israel which I have worn every single day of my life since. My Judaism is my whole identity, it is the essence of who I am, physically and spiritually, my body and soul. Wearing my star is my ability to show that Judaism outwardly. Especially now as Israel is threatened and antisemitism is rising astronomically, I find it SO important to show my Jewish pride. It is a testimony to Jewish resilience and a statement to the world that I refuse to be the silent Jew they want us to be and I will stand loud and proud for my community and family. Every day my heart breaks for my family and friends in Israel, the hostages in Gaza, and my cousins in the IDF. Every day I am more scared that someone I know will be the victim of an antisemitic attack. I refuse to play the victim the world wants us to be and that is why I wear my star. Everyday I wear my star and everyday I thank HaShem I am Jewish and that I get to be part of the most beautiful and unique community. Am Yisrael Chai.

I wear my star because I want the world to know how much I love being Jewish. My star constantly reminds me of who I am, and where I come from. Fear won’t govern me. I will never hide who I am.

I wear my star to honor all those who came before me. And right now, in a time where antisemitism is loud, I too will be loud right back in my faith. We cannot allow hate from those who wish to see us gone, and we cannot allow fear to cause us to hide who we are. I love my people, I love my faith and I will show that love every day by wearing my star. Am Yisrael Chai.

I’m the grandchild of a Holocaust survivor (second picture). Wearing my star for me is too important. Not only I can portray and carry my Jewish identity with me, but I am reminded of my roots at all times. My dad always says “to know where to go, know where you come from”. He couldn’t be more right. Am Israel Hai. 🤍✡️

My mother and I didn’t know we were Jewish until a few days before my grandmother passed away. She told us a story and told us that her parents made her promise not to tell anyone what she was and what her family was. She cried after saying she broke her promise to them and she died a few days after that. She kept that promise for 89 years. I cry just thinking about how afraid she must have been. So I stand strong and wear it for my grandma, for her parents, for my family, for my brothers and sisters. I wear it for every Jewish person so that they know I am with them for no matter what walk of life we are brothers and sisters.

I wear my star with pride and honor. It is partly to prove to those who died for me, that I will never give up on them, or my community. Secondly, it’s to prove that I will not allow hate and fear to control my life. I am proud of who I am and will always stand up for the Jewish community.
