St. Frances Cabrini Academy

At our auction, we shared words from our amazing students about how Cabrini has helped them grow. Eighth-grader Cornelius shared some about how his teacher inspired a love for history:

“I didn’t realize I loved history until Mrs. Piatchek made it fun for me. She gave me this book, and I carry it around with me all day. It’s an old 6th-grade textbook. There are parts we didn’t get to read in class, and I want to learn them all. I read it when I have breaks in the schedule. Last year, she also gave me a book about flags of the world. I used LEGO to build different models of flags in the classroom, and then the whole class started doing it. We’re just two history nerds!”

Did you know? The Cabrini Parent Organization helps our school plan events like the Trunk or Treat last Saturday. Any guardian or caregiver is welcome to join. Our next meeting is Wednesday, November 5th, from 6-7 pm. Childcare is provided.

Join us TOMORROW for the annual Cabrini Trunk or Treat and Halloween party. There will be family-friendly games and activities. All children must have an adult present. Thank you to the Cabrini Parent Organization for sponsoring this fun event!

Thank you to for the performance and workshops for our middle school students yesterday. We enjoyed learning about stage makeup, music, and movement in the classrooms and then watching a performance of Scott Joplin's Treemonisha. A few of our students even got to join in the final number!

Today is the day! We are so excited to see you at Cabrini. Doors open at 5pm.

This afternoon, we gathered to pray the World Mission Rosary as a school. Together with Catholics around the world, we prayed for people on all continents of the world - for the materially and spiritually poor, for stewardship of the earth and creation, and for world peace.

Thank you to the 6th-grade students for leading us in prayer!

This Saturday, our fabulous ambassadors will be offering guided tours of the school. Students will walk you through the building, share their experiences, and answer any questions you have!

A big thanks to Jonathan Shock City Studios for showing our 8th-grade class around on Friday. We had fun learning about recording and getting the chance to record our own sounds. Such a cool space in our own neighborhood!
