If you haven't had the chance to operate either a power washer or steam cleaner, then you're missing out on a very satisfying household task. In this video, UMSL Office of Inclusive Postsecondary Education director Dr. Jonathan Lidgus shows Lucy and Melea how to operate our favorite Green Machine.
UMSL OIPE college programs for the neurodiverse: Succeed, Plus, and Link are all grounded on our four pillars, . Attending college isn't just about academic success. Through this reel, we're showing the practicalities of independent living. Yes, you will have to clean your apartment or home as part of living independently (and thriving in this endeavor). Yes, you will have to know how to manage a budget, head to the grocery store and decide what you can/can't afford to purchase. You'll have to know how to cook even basic meals and clean up after yourself. To learn more about our classes and workshops in the 2-year Succeed Program, email: [email protected].

COE Annual Celebration & Retirement Event
As the semester comes to a close, we gathered not just to celebrate achievements, but to honor the journeys behind them. From well-earned promotions to heartfelt retirements, this event was a beautiful reminder that every ending carries the promise of a new beginning.
It was inspiring to see everyone who has been part of COE come together—sharing laughter, stories, and moments that made this year unforgettable. One of the most special highlights was hearing everyone reflect on their favorite memory of the year so far—each one unique, yet all connected by the same sense of growth and community.
From COE, we sincerely appreciate your dedication, efforts, and service. Your contributions have shaped our community and made a lasting impact.
Now we turn it over to you—what’s been your best memory this year?
