🧋Let’s kick this year off right - with caffeine, lemonade, tea, and GP parent friends! ☕️The La Cosecha coffee truck will be on campus Tuesday morning on the Upper lot for our biannual Parent Coffee Social and the drinks are on us. This one’s for the parents— drop the kids off and grab a drink just for you 🤌 Stay and hang out, meet some new friends, or grab it and go! 🏃‍♀️

🏫Welcoming our youngest learners to their first day of school is such a joy! It comes with excitement, sometimes worries, occasionally a few tears, and often times with absolute confidence from JK3, JK4, and Kindergarten students. They like to keep their parents on their toes on the first day of drop off 😅

😃😭We held our annual Boohoo Yahoo breakfast for the Kindergarten parents after they dropped off their children which is always a mixed bag of emotions. Whatever their feelings are about the first day, there is always room for bonding with other parents that they'll be spending the next 9 years with on a journey like no other. Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year 🙌 We're so glad you're here!

🤩We had a great first day of school with our 1st-8th graders. We kicked off the day with a sweet four legged visitor who popped in with our nurse, Emmy, this morning. 🐾Meet Sugar Magnolia, our unofficial dog of Green Park! We rounded out the day with chapel and discussing our theme for this year, "Praise".

We are looking forward to an awesome first day with our youngest learners - JK3, JK4, and Kindergarten. We know there will be students growing in faith, education, friendships and more this year and can't wait to see all the incredible things that transpire. Happy first day, Vikings!💚

Let's warmly welcome Mrs. Katie Jennings to Green Park!

Mrs. Katie Jennings is excited to join Green Park as a Kindergarten Teacher Aide. Prior to Green Park, Katie spent almost 20 years in the medical field from direct patient care to administrative coordination. It was a dedication of service throughout her entire adult life.

In her own words:
As a former student of Green Park, walking the halls again brings back so many fond memories of encouragement, community, and strong faith based roots. I am thrilled to be giving back to the very community that poured so much into my childhood, my education, and a life following in Christ's footsteps.

We'd like to welcome Mrs. Kalin Mirly to Green Park!

Mrs. Kalin Mirly is excited to join Green Park as a Teacher Aide. Kalin brings over 12 years of experience working with children. She worked as School Age Program Director at The Goddard School, along with several years of experience leading summer camps, preschool enrichment programs and substitute teaching. Kalin is passionate about creating a positive, encouraging environment where every child can learn, grow, and build confidence. She loves supporting both students and staff and helping make each day a successful one.

What she loves about Green Park: I'm excited to support the staff and students in all ways. Being able to be part of the Green Park community and helping students gain those 'ah-ha' moments is such a rewarding experience.

Favorite Bible Verse: Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding."

Fun Facts: Outside of school, I'm a proud boy mom to three amazing sons and a lab named Bo. My favorite way to spend my free time is making memories with my family and friends.

Emmy Williams is excited to join Green Park as the School Nurse and Administrative Assistant. Emmy decided to become a nurse after being diagnosed with juvenile diabetes (Type 1 Diabetes) in her early 20’s. She spent the last 10 years bedside in the hospital in Med-Surg, Acute Rehab, and Cardiac Pulmonary Step Down. Emmy comes from a larger family, always surrounded by children. Since going into nursing, she always wanted to work more closely with children.

What she loves about Green Park: I love the community and unity created within Green Park. I discovered Green Park through a coworker who spoke highly of its strong community and values. The qualities she appreciated in raising her children were the same ones that mattered most to me. I toured the school in 2021, and I immediately knew it was where we wanted Legend to be. While there were some things we knew we couldn't do for Legend, we knew we could give him the opportunity to attend a school like Green Park which would provide a strong foundation rooted in faith, love, support, and a caring community. I never imagined ever getting the opportunity to work in the school my child attends, but so grateful it has become a reality.

In Her Own Words: I hope to bring out happiness and joy in others while providing trusting, loving, caring, and comforting support. My goal is to advocate for our children by providing the care, education, and knowledge they need to build lifelong health and wellness.

I believe the sooner we can help educate individuals on health and wellness, the more successful people can become in life. I have a natural ability to educate and always want to better understand the world. I believe children are the future of the world, and I hope to inspire and educate youth. As a child myself, I was inspired, educated, and motivated by the many educators in my life. I hold many fond memories of them and know how important the role is.

Fun Facts: I am a child at heart who loves family, fun, jokes, being in nature, making adventures, exploring, traveling the world with my fiance, family, and dog (Sugar Magnolia). We also enjoy biking, hiking, and scuba diving, all while seeing new places, trying new foods, learning and immersing ourselves within different cultures and seeing as many animals as possible in the wild. I would like to eventually see all 7 continents!

Mrs. Jessica Walker is excited to join Green Park as our Educational Technology Coordinator. She grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and attended Lutheran and Christian schools. She always knew she wanted to be a teacher, so she moved down to Austin, Texas for college. She met her husband, Tristan, at Concordia Texas and got married while she was in the middle of her student teaching. Their sons, Daniel and Caleb, have a bit of that Texas accent! They moved back to Colorado Springs in 2020 to be closer to her family, and now God has brought them to St. Louis so that Tristan can become a pastor. She has experience teaching preschool reading groups and loved it!

In her own words: I'm excited to be at Green Park because I can share Jesus' love and joy regularly with everyone I meet!

Fun Facts: I love include crafting, coloring, reading, and video games. I collect rubber duckies and Lego minifigs. Our family would someday love to travel to all the national parks. I love all different kinds of tea.

Mr. Chris Auger is excited to join Green Park as our 7th Grade Homeroom and Middle School Social Studies teacher. Chris brings 10 years of experience teaching in Lutheran schools. After seeing the opportunity Green Park would provide for his son and experiencing the warm welcome his family received during a visit to Green Park, joining the Green Park community felt like the right fit.

In his own words: I enjoy teaching religion and sharing God's Word with my students. I also love showing them how history isn't just about the past—it's about understanding the people, cultures, and events that continue to influence our world today. What's interesting about the subject is how much history considered ancient is still relevant to today. Geographically we can feel alien to other civilizations far away, yet find commonality in something like the World Cup or the enjoyment of varieties of music.

Favorite Bible Verse: Isaiah 40:31 - but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
