The Saint Louis University Interprofessional Education Program’s IPE 4900 Interprofessional Community Practicum course provides SLU students the opportunity to collaborate in interprofessional teams with community partners and a faculty facilitator to co-create a health-related semester-long project.
It is aligned with the Collaborative Inquiry, Reflection-in-Action and Writing Intensive attributes of the SLU Core Curriculum; and is a key component of our innovative 3-course Concentration in Interprofessional Practice.
Today, we feature Darlene Louis Charles MPH and Wan-Ling Hsu MHCM; IPE Community Practicum facilitators and PhD students in the SLU College for Public Health and Social Justice. Their experience as international students and health professionals provide a unique perspective with students and community partners as they develop health-related projects!

Today, we feature IPE Community Practicum facilitators Deborah Manne, MSN, RN, RDH, FADHA, Registered Nurse and Registered Dental Hygienist; and Lisa Meyer, MBA, PT, Physical Therapist and Director of Clinical Affiliations in the SLU Doisy College of Health Sciences. They both provide a wealth of healthcare experience as they collaborate with students and community partners to develop impactful projects!

The Saint Louis University Interprofessional Education Program enjoys collaborating with outstanding colleagues in colleges, schools and programs across the university, including the SLU School of Medicine.
Today, we feature Chad Miller MD, Professor in the Section of Hospital Medicine of the Department of Internal Medicine and Senior Associate Dean of Undergraduate Medical Education in the Saint Louis University School of Medicine. Dr. Miller serves on our Core Team as the School of Medicine Liaison engaging in dialogue on curriculum design and creating important connections with leadership, faculty and students.

The Saint Louis University Interprofessional Education Program collaborates with the SLU College of Arts and Sciences to provide expertise around Industrial and Organizational (IO) Psychology to support assessment, scholarship and curriculum design.
Today, we feature Graduate Research Assistant and IO Psychology PhD student Sarah Liebowitz, M.A. Sarah serves on our Core Team and helps coordinate program assessment and scholarship as well as serving as a mentor for our SURGE undergraduate research interns.
