It’s We Love Inishowen Day! And do we ever love our sister city, the Inishowen area of Co. Donegal, Ireland. 🇺🇸❤️🇮🇪

The Consulate was delighted to attend the Missouri River Irish Fest joining members of the Irish community and friends of Ireland for a fantastic celebration of Irish culture, heritage, and community.

The festival brought together people of all ages to enjoy Irish music, dance, storytelling, and traditions highlighting the vibrant connections between Ireland and Missouri through the sister-city partnership between St. Charles and Inishowen, Co. Donegal.

Members of An Garda Síochána (police officers) from the Inishowen Peninsula attended the festival, their participation reflecting the enduring friendship between the two communities.

Today was the last day of the Irish Guarda members stay. They visited the Arch and rode the trams to the top, lunch at Ball Park Village and ended with a tour at the Anheuser Busch Brewery. We loved showing them some of StL’s icons. By all accounts they thoroughly enjoyed their time here in St. Charles and made many new friends and connections. A huge thank you to the St. Charles Police Department for their involvement showing the guarda what the job looks like here.
