DID YOU KNOW? MISSOURI HAS SOME SERIOUS IRISH ROOTS! 🇮🇪

When we think of Irish-American history, cities like Boston and New York often get all the attention — but Missouri has its own rich Irish story.

During the 1800s, thousands of Irish immigrants made Missouri their home, with particularly strong communities developing in St. Louis and Kansas City.

⛪ They established parishes and helped build Catholic communities.

🚂 They worked on railroads and other projects that helped Missouri grow.

🏘️ They created neighborhoods, businesses and organizations that became part of the fabric of their communities.

🇮🇪 And generations later, Irish culture and heritage are still alive across the Show-Me State!

From St. Louis to Kansas City and communities in between, Missouri’s Irish story isn’t just something in the history books.

We’re still writing it. ☘️

And Missouri’s Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians are proud to help keep that heritage alive through Friendship, Unity and Christian Charity. 💚🤍🧡

🍷 Why We Do This

La Fête du Vin is more than just a wine festival—it's the signature fundraiser for the St. Charles Sister Cities French Chapter.

When our chapter was established, we wanted to create an event that would bring our community together while building a strong foundation for the future. La Fête du Vin has become that event.

Every ticket purchased helps support the growth of the French Chapter and our mission of building a lasting relationship between St. Charles, Missouri, and our sister city, Montbéliard, France.

This September, we'll celebrate an exciting milestone as our two communities officially commemorate our Sister Cities partnership—an important step in a friendship that will continue to grow for years to come.

We're proud to create an event that supports our local community, showcases incredible local businesses, and helps our chapter continue to grow.

Thank you for being part of our journey.
