🍷 Why We Do This
La Fête du Vin is more than just a wine festival—it's the signature fundraiser for the St. Charles Sister Cities French Chapter.
When our chapter was established, we wanted to create an event that would bring our community together while building a strong foundation for the future. La Fête du Vin has become that event.
Every ticket purchased helps support the growth of the French Chapter and our mission of building a lasting relationship between St. Charles, Missouri, and our sister city, Montbéliard, France.
This September, we'll celebrate an exciting milestone as our two communities officially commemorate our Sister Cities partnership—an important step in a friendship that will continue to grow for years to come.
We're proud to create an event that supports our local community, showcases incredible local businesses, and helps our chapter continue to grow.
Thank you for being part of our journey.

🌿 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐟𝐮𝐞𝐥. 𝐀 𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝'𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲.
If you've travelled through Inishowen, you've probably noticed stacks of turf drying across the hills and bogs. But have you ever wondered what they are, or why they've been such an important part of Irish life for generations?
Our latest story explores the tradition of turf cutting, from long summer days spent on the bog to the unmistakable scent of a turf fire that still brings back memories for many Irish families.
Along the way, you'll also discover the meaning behind terms like "footing", "sods" and "clods", and learn how you can experience this unique landscape yourself on the Slí Croí Inis Eoghain Walking Trail.
It's one of those stories that helps you see the landscape through local eyes. 💚
📖 You'll find the full story in the first comment.
