The New Art Festival 2026
Our new category for 2026: Art! Students K-12 are welcome to enter a drawing or painting, any medium such as acrylics, oils, pastels, pen, ink, watercolors, crayons, etc. Entry must be no larger than a 16 inch by 20 inch. If it is on paper, it must be mounted to a piece of cardboard so it can be propped up on a table for display purposes. Alternatively, it can be on a framed canvas, no larger than a 16" x 20". The theme this year is "Music in Missouri." How do you see or interpret music around you visually? However you want to interpret this theme is fine. Prizes will be given according to age categories (K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-10, 11-12). Ribbons will be awarded by a professional artist, and small gift cards will also be awarded to winners of 1st, 2nd, 3rd place. Parents, students and the public are welcome to come and look at the art during the Festival on May 1-2. Vote for your favorite work of art in the People's Choice category. Entry fee is $20/student, 1 entry per person.
We are looking for students to submit their paintings, drawings, sketches, in any medium for our Festival. (No 3-D sculpture or reliefs as we have limited space on tables.) If artwork is not on a canvas board, please reinforce the paper with cardboard so we may prop them up on tables. In addition to small gift card prizes and ribbons according to age categories, winners will have their artwork published on our website and may be published in local papers or even a calendar. For all students in public schools, we are offering 50% off the entry fee, with promo code MAF50, so the fee will only be $10.
