Another good resource for patients to connect with others is “Hearing Journey”, which is a wonderful and warm online community made up of CI candidates, AB recipients, parents, and professionals. Home Cochlear implants and hearing solutions from MED-EL—helping children and adults with hearing loss.

Washington University School of Medicine is currently restricting patient appointments to those that are classified as medically urgent. The Cochlear Implant Program, therefore, has very limited availability to see patients in the office. We are still taking phone calls and e-mails. We will provide remote support along with the cochlear implant manufacturers. Our goal is, as always, to keep everyone hearing optimally through this time.

Today is National Cochlear Implant Day! Happy day to all our brave and amazing recipients.
