Dr. Kristi Clevenger has been named the new dean of the Columbia College School of Public Service.

Dr. Clevenger, a professor of Education at CC since 2007, currently serves as chair of the Education & Criminal Justice Department and as president of the Faculty Association.

Columbia College lost one of its greatest treasures Friday, Feb. 2, with the passing of the institution’s 15th president, Dr. Donald Ruthenberg Hon. ’95. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family. He was 94.

The Columbia College January 2024 Employee of the Month is Melanie Taylor, Records Coordinator II in the Office of the Registrar!

Melanie was nominated for this award by Julia Valera, Records Coordinator, due to her patience, kindness and the fact that she genuinely cares about each student’s record that she works on. According to Julia, Melanie is the definition of "student first.”
