The Washington University International Relations Committee is proud to introduce Secretary-General Carmen Lyon as the new Secretariat for WUMUNC 2019! Our website (wumunc.org) is currently under construction, but a new and improved site is forthcoming.

Just a few key things about WUMUNC:

1. 15 Minute Guarantee – As a delegate, there is nothing more frustrating than waiting endlessly for crisis to respond to your notes. That doesn’t happen at WUMUNC. We promise to deliver thorough responses to crisis notes within 15 minutes to optimize your committee experience.

2. Break the Rules – Occasionally, we challenge established protocols to enable our directors to harness all of their creativity in committee. This could include modifying parliamentary procedure to better fit the committee’s time period and/or goals. Regardless, it’s sure to streamline debate and make committee more engaging for delegates of all experience levels.

3. Engaging Crisis Updates – Directors perform a diverse set of multimedia crisis updates that bridge the gap between various committee and personal covert activities. Here at WUMUNC, we go beyond newspaper updates to bring crises to life and keep delegates on their toes for the entire conference!

Early registration for the coming conference is now OPEN!

WUMUNC 2018 will be held from February 1-4th and is hosted on the Washington University in St. Louis, Danforth campus. We are excited to announce that for the first time, we are going to be a four day conference and will be integrating a few new fun events into our schedule!

Background guides have been posted on our website! We look forward to hosting everyone in less than two weeks!

And possible cameo from Matt Damon, though we might have to settle for Jeremy Renner (no the Ad-Hoc isn’t Bourne, I’m just still bitter). I can’t promise that any of those things will be in the committee; I just wanted to match literally every other Ad-Hoc committee ever. Don’t be fooled by my light tone of voice – the Ad-Hoc is serious business. The Ad-Hoc promises to make even the most seasoned delegate shed a tear or two with its fast-paced and deeply immersive crisis simulation.
