Week #2 of Green Chef Camp continues with a new group of students!

The summer garden is a perfect science laboratory for learning and discovery. These campers are getting hands-on experiences on how using fresh ingredients they harvest themselves makes meals much more fun and delicious!

It was an exciting week at The Green Center as we welcomed our first group of Green Chef Camp students!

Campers spent all week learning about the plants growing in our summer garden, how to use herbs to enhance flavor to dishes, and cooking a variety of farm to table meals.

If we were not cooking, we were exploring native wild edibles and discovering the wildlife at our Center. The campers even got to see a monarch butterfly lay an egg on a milkweed leaf and black swallowtail caterpillars feeding on our fennel!

Join us TONIGHT for the Opening Reception for this stunning photography exhibit! Enjoy a glass of wine while you take in the incredible moments in nature caught on film. The exhibit features the winning submissions to 2025's Photography Contest Winners, and is not to be missed. This FREE event starts at 5pm tonight, Friday, July 17.

MOBOT’s Outdoor Youth Corps learn about nature careers A program offered by the Missouri Botanical Garden is giving young adults interested in outdoor career paths a hands-on education.

Thank you to our Missouri State Parks friends for visiting The Green Center today with their Learn2Aim program! Our Get Outdoors campers had a fantastic morning learning all about archery and developing a new skill!

The Green Center outdoor classrooms are filled with our GET OUTDOORS campers this week!

This camp provides students the opportunity to be outdoors, all day, every day! Between hiking our many trails, orienteering, and building forest forts, our campers are learning the MANY ways to leave the electronics behind and GET OUTDOORS!
