The senior MLS students performed their very first real phlebotomy procedure this week.
They practice on fake arms, their freshman year, then again their senior year. Then they practice on each other and draw real blood. And finally, they have to successfully draw blood from 50 patients during their clinical rotations in the spring.
This is always a nerve-racking experience for the students, but they all handled it like champs!
