This past weekend Sacred Sword was honored by a surprise visit from our KY based martial arts family! Sensei Gordon Green was presented with a blessed (sacred) sword and much love was shared! What a fun time training and learning from one another. We will never forget this great experience given by our Aikido brothers and sisters.

📣 Meet Our Newest Instructor!

Please join us in welcoming Sophia Miyamoto Sensei to the Sacred Sword Martial Arts family!

Beginning this July, Sophia Sensei will be leading Saturday afternoon Kyokushin Karate classes at SSMA.

At Sacred Sword, we believe that training alongside instructors from different martial backgrounds makes all of us stronger. We’re excited for students to experience Kyokushin Karate under Sophia Sensei’s leadership, and to welcome her students into the family as well.

Sophia Miyamoto Sensei is the founder and chief instructor of Mizukagami Dojo and holds the rank of 4th Degree Black Belt (Yondan) in Kyokushin-kan Karate. She began training in Japanese Budo at just 10 years old and has dedicated her life to the pursuit of martial arts excellence.

In addition to her martial arts experience, Sophia served in the U.S. Army and as a Police Officer with the St. Louis County Police Department. She is also a certified yoga instructor, practices Muay Thai, and competes in powerlifting and bodybuilding.

Her passion for disciplined, full-contact karate and lifelong learning makes her an outstanding addition to our instructor team.

We’re honored to welcome Sophia Sensei to the Sacred Sword family and can’t wait for everyone to train with her this July!
