Combative Arnis is another minor G*T style. It was used by the Fil-Am irregular commanders ROTC- Hunters. Similar to Harabas, a quick and effective teaching method was needed to help teach how to defend themselves during the Japanese occupation of the Philippines in World War II. This system was taught with the mindset of having seven strikes, three on each side followed by a thrust, with each strike having a block that automatically leads to a counter strike. Regardless of the length or type of the weapon this system allowed them to strike, block, and counter on seven angles of attack.

Laban Tulisan is a minor style in G*T that was used by guerrilla fighters from the Spanish occupation up through World War II. Laban Tulisan is a compressed version of Siete Colores Arnis de Mano.
The Katipunan members of the Laguna region used Laban Tulisan during the 1890s to help fight in the Spanish Revolution. During those times everyone in the Katipunan was taught to use the bolo, rifles, pistols, sabers, or whatever was available. Because there are so many aspects to learn when using weaponry and tactics, they needed something that can be learned quickly and effectively.
During the Japanese occupation of World War II, Laban Tulisan was reestablished as another form of fighting to be used by many Guerilla fighters ranging from the Hakbulahap (Communist guerrilla movement against Japan), Fil-Am Irregular Command, and ROTC-hunters.

Harabas is a minor style in G*T. It was mainly used by the Hakbulahap, a procommunist guerilla movement of central Luzon during World War II. This particular system is focused on cutting three strikes. Two diagonal strikes and one horizontal cut are used in 12 combinations. Similar to Laban Tulisan, Harabas was meant to be an efficient way to teach someone how to fight even if they had little experience or time to train. Harabas was also designed for a variety of bladed weapons including farm tools. This particular form of fighting was used by Commander Sabo Baet (son of Gran Maestro Jose “Uti” Baet) of the Hakbulahap- Laguna Quezon Command.

There are many different situations and weapons, so we focus on principles that can be applied to any situation. Your training consists of discovering how to apply those principles to a particular context, giving you the freedom to express those principles in your own way.

We also train empty handed, using hands, feet, and the rest of your body to improve your position, protect yourself, and strike. Empty hand training includes punches, kicks, standing (clinch) work, ground fighting, throws, locks, and escapes. Since many concepts are simpler to learn and train empty handed, concepts are frequently introduced without weapons before applying the concepts while using weapons.
