One of the COOLEST additions to our new playground isn't actually a playground at all… it's an outdoor classroom!

Introducing our brand-new Nature Lab!

We are incredibly excited to share that this is the very first Nature Lab KOMPAN has created for a preschool in the entire country! How cool is THAT?!

Even more exciting? We have the opportunity to pilot this program and collaborate with KOMPAN's educators as we explore all the possibilities of outdoor learning.

Our Nature Lab is packed with opportunities for little scientists, explorers, builders, and curious minds, including:

Sifting, sorting, and collection tables
A scale table for weighing discoveries
A microscope table for taking a closer look
Wind direction and wind speed stations
A thermometer station
A rain gauge
A sundial

But here's our favorite part:
There is no ONE right way to explore!

We want our children to dig, discover, experiment, investigate, make predictions, get messy, ask questions, and sometimes use materials in ways we never even imagined.

The Nature Lab isn't about telling children what to learn. It's about giving them the tools, the space, and the freedom to discover what makes them curious.

Big discoveries. Little scientists. Endless possibilities.

And we couldn't be more excited that our little corner of Oakville gets to be part of something so special!

Day TWO on the new playground!

Yesterday was basically RUN! CLIMB! SLIDE! LOOK AT THIS! GO OVER HERE! DO ALL THE THINGS!

Today, the sensory overload has settled just a little and we’re starting to discover our favorite spaces, favorite things to do, and favorite ways to play.

It’s so fun watching this playground go from something brand new and exciting to their playground.

Although… there’s still plenty of running around like tiny people who just won the lottery.

SO. MUCH. JOY. TODAY.

The new playground is AH-MAZ-ING — and it has officially been inspected and approved by the people who matter most… THE KIDS!

The running. The climbing. The exploring. The laughter. The squeals. The smiles.

After all the planning, dreaming, designing, waiting (and waiting 😜)… seeing those little feet finally take over this space was everything we hoped it would be.

Our playground dreams have officially come true.

And judging by the smiles today… we think the kids agree.

Wednesday, October 7th from 3-6pm. Our currently enrolled families are invited to stay and play outside until 6pm.

Saturday, October 10th from 9am-12pm. We would love to welcome everyone to stop by and check it out!

Kindergarten readiness can show up in everyday moments, not just big milestones. A few signals to notice:

1. They’re building confidence to try things independently. Examples: walking into a room first, asking for help, or giving something new a try.

2. They’re starting to recognize the letters in their name, even if they’re not reading just yet.

3. They’re showing care and responsibility at home. This could include things like helping pack a bag, feeding a pet, putting away toys, or getting through part of their routine with a little more ease.

Every child grows at their own pace - and readiness looks different for every family. Their preschool teachers can be a great partner in noticing strengths, celebrating progress, and helping you think through what comes next.
