Our Caterpillar Room preschoolers turned a simple idea into something truly meaningful for Ronald McDonald House Charities and the impact is amazing. We are so proud of the way these students are learning about kindness, service and community.
Thank you, Mrs. Darr, for leading this incredible project year after year!

There are lots of benefits to being a part of an amazing school district, like Lindbergh Schools. One benefit that has been especially fun during our Month of the Young Child celebration has been our partnership with the students in the LHS Child Development II Class. Each week, they spend time connecting with our students, observing our teachers, and learning about child development. This week, the students culminated their work in our classrooms by leading a lesson.
The Turtle Class' student read a fan favorite - Giraffes Can't Dance and then introduced the students to her clarinet!

We're singin' in the rain,
Just singin' in the rain,
What a glorious feeling,
We're happy again!
The springtime weather earlier this week did not stop our ECE Flyers from getting their groove on. Check out these adorable puddle jumpers!

Dancing, clapping, stomping, marching, singing—this is more than fun (though it’s LOTS of fun 😄).
Music + Movement helps children to:
✨ develop language
✨ express emotions
✨ connect with others
When children move to music, both sides of their brain are activated—supporting memory, attention, and coordination.
💚 💛 At LECE, we’re learning through every beat and every move.

IT'S MUSIC & MOVEMENT WEEK!
🎶 Car ride vibes on this Monday morning… What’s your child choosing when the music comes on?!
🎤 Singing on every street
💃 Dancing in their seat
👏 Clapping to the beat
🔁 Requesting the SAME song on repeat

💚 💛 Teamwork in action.
From sharing ideas to solving problems, our ECE Flyers showed us what it means to truly work together.
AND the best part??
These skills don’t stay at school—they grow at home, too!
Here are a few easy ways to keep building the FOUR Cs:
💬 Ask open-ended questions: “What’s your idea?”
🤝 Encourage turn-taking and sharing
💡 Celebrate trying something new
🩷 Notice teamwork: “You worked together!”
Little moments → BIG life skills.
👇 We’d love to hear from you:
What’s one way you saw your child use teamwork this past week?

Teamwork doesn't need supplies—It just needs people!
If gardening isn't your thing, these simple ideas may work better for your family. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just together.
🍳 Cook a meal as a team
🧺 Tackle a small chore together
🧱 Build something (blocks, boxes, blankets!)
🎲 Play a game and take turns
As you go, you might find yourself saying things like,
💬 Communication – “What should we do next?”
🤝 Collaboration – “Let’s try it together.”
💡 Creativity – “What if we did it this way?”
🩷 Cooperation – “You go, then I’ll go.”
💬 Tell us: What’s something your family is doing as a team this weekend?

⚠️ WARNING: Starting a family garden may cause excessive smiling, teamwork, and muddy hands! 👩🌾🌱🌾😀
Spring weather = the perfect excuse for a simple family adventure. Turn a quick trip to the hardware store or supercenter tonight into a family date night and start a garden together this weekend!
It doesn’t have to be big, fancy, or expensive.
Just ask our Piglets and Hippos… they used spoons to dig their planting holes! 🥰

The FOUR Cs in action—all with just a little dirt under your nails.
Trust us… it’s messy, meaningful, and totally worth it!
