And just like that, our school year is over! There's nothing better than experiencing the pure joy that students show on the last day of school with special last-day-of-school traditions. Thank you, teachers, for making it so special for them! There was so much joy during Marvin Elementary's field day, Marion Elementary's snow cone treats thanks to the PTO, Wyland Elementary's fifth grade-faculty kickball game and Iveland Elementary's last-day-of school parade. Wishing our students, families, and staff a wonderful summer!

What a fun and memorable day across Ritenour! Today's fun photos reflect our kindergarten “graduation” ceremony at Kratz Elementary, end-of-year Field Day at Buder Elementary, and an exciting 8th-grade mixer at Tiemeyer Park for students from Hoech and Ritenour middle schools.

Across the district, all Ritenour schools are also celebrating students this week with award ceremonies and end-of-year celebrations as we wrap up another great school year. The last day of school is tomorrow, and we can't wait to share more photos from our other schools! We’re so proud of all our students, staff and families for an incredible year together!

- Dr. Angela Chatman has been named the new principal at Ritenour High School
- Sam Brotherton has been named interim principal at Ritenour Middle School
- Taylor Johnson has been named interim assistant principal at RMS

All appointments are effective July 1, 2026.

Senior Clap-Out!👏🏾

Plenty of proud moments filled the halls this morning as the Ritenour High School class of 2026 celebrated their newly opened caps and gowns. Seniors made one final walk as Huskies through RHS and the elementary and middle schools where their journey first began.🎓

Students, teachers, and staff lined the halls to celebrate the soon-to-be graduates, creating a memorable full-circle moment and a reminder of how our Ritenour staff, future graduates and community share in the joy of our graduating seniors' success! So many smiles, tears, hugs and cheers today💕 Here's to the Class of 2026!

The Ritenour School District is pleased to announce that Meredith Alton, an English language arts teacher at Ritenour High School and an educational leadership intern, has been named the new assistant principal of Buder Elementary School, effective July 1.

Alton brings five years of teaching and leadership experience in the St. Louis area. She joined Ritenour High School in 2023 as an ELA teacher. In addition to her duties as a teacher, she has been an leadership intern at Kratz Elementary and at another elementary school in the St. Louis area. Prior to her experience in Ritenour, she taught ELA at Normandy High School for both general education and special education students.

Alton earned her bachelor’s in secondary education and a master’s in educational leadership from University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL). She is currently working on her doctorate in education at UMSL.

Alton replaces Ramone West, who will become the Wyland Elementary principal on July 1.

Congratulations to the first-ever Ritenour High School students honored at the RHS White Coat Ceremony! 🩺

Tonight, five Ritenour High School students in the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Biomedical Sciences™ program were recognized for successfully completing rigorous coursework in Principles of Biomedical Science, Human Body Systems and Medical Interventions. Through these hands-on courses, students gained valuable experience solving problems, analyzing data, conducting research and working as part of a medical team, all while exploring careers in the medical field.

As part of the ceremony, students recited the PLTW Biomedical Science Hippocratic Oath and received the white coat, a symbol of both protection in the lab and membership in the scientific and medical community.

Congratulations to Ritenour's first students earning this distinction: Seniors Reagan Beverly, Edward Esquivel, Christina Vo and Meia West, and junior Grayson Harger. All five students are headed to college and plan to pursue careers in the medical field.
