Last week, we had the joy of celebrating City Garden’s Green Schools Award!
Thank you to everyone who joined us as we honored the beautiful “green” work our community has been part of this year, from the mural on the shipping container to the newly installed bike racks.
These projects are more than campus updates. They are signs of the way our students are learning to care for their environment, their community, and the world around them.

Sunday Smiles 💛
The best kind of school joy is shared joy.
A big hug.
A bright smile.
A friend close by.
A moment that feels simple, but says so much.
At City Garden Montessori, children are learning more than lessons. They are learning how to care for one another, how to build friendships, how to belong, and how to grow together.
That is the beauty of Montessori community.
So today, let this smile be your reminder too.
Share a kind word.
Reach out to someone.
Make someone feel glad they’re here.
Happy Sunday. 🌻

A green celebration worth sharing.
Earlier this week, City Garden received a Green Schools Award, and we are so grateful to everyone who joined us for the celebration.
It was a beautiful moment to look back at all the “green” work our community has been part of this year, from the mural on the shipping container to the newest bike racks on campus.
These projects are more than upgrades. They are reminders that children are always learning from the world around them. When they see care for the environment, creativity, sustainability, and community action in motion, those lessons stay with them.
We’re proud of the work our students, staff, families, and partners have helped grow this year.

Do you have a skill our students would love?
City Garden's Friday Enrichment program brings students face-to-face with the full range of what people do and love in the world — and we want you in that room.
We're looking for volunteers (Lead and Support) for the 2026–27 school year. Whether you're a musician, a coder, a gardener, or just someone who loves sharing what you know — there's a place for you here.
Fill out our interest survey bit.ly/3RI9of5 or email [email protected]. And tag a friend who should volunteer! 👇

Thank you, U.S. Bank for believing that every child deserves an excellent education, and for helping make it real for City Garden families. ✨
The magic people see in our classrooms? It’s backed by a lot of work you don’t see.
Trained guides. Montessori materials. Student supports. Strong communication. The behind-the-scenes systems that allow a school to actually care for children well.
Our strategic plan names Strengthening Organizational Systems as a top priority, because if we want kids to thrive, the school around them has to be strong, clear, and sustainable.
That takes vision. It takes discipline. And it takes investment.

Join us this afternoon for Coffee & Conversations
from 4:00–5:00 PM in the EAEC Multipurpose Room.
We had a great time this morning talking with families about what children need to know as they get ready for the next grade. Thank you to everyone who came, asked questions, and helped make the conversation so thoughtful.
If you missed the morning session, there’s still another chance to join us this evening.
Come grab a cup of coffee, bring your questions, and spend a little time learning more about what’s ahead for your child’s next step.
We’d love to see you there.

We did it, City Garden!
Now Let's Celebrate at Our Block Party Saturday! 🎉
Together, we raised $500,262, and the final push came from our youngest students. Our ECEC children counted their classroom piggy banks as part of a real-world math lesson, and their gifts, combined with matching funds, helped bring us over the finish line.
This is City Garden: children learning generosity by practicing it.
Now let’s celebrate together!
City Garden Block Party
