Students are required to attend 8 Intro-to-Pole classes before moving to Level 1.

We at Mynx Academy have a huge announcement to make! Our absolutely beloved, longtime studio manager and instructor, Kirstie, will be opening her own pole studio!
Since Kirstie came on as studio manager, we have grown in many ways and I am so filled with gratitude for everything that she has done for me, for Mynx Academy, and our community. She has shown nothing but love and care for the space, the vibe, our mission, and our students and instructors. Kirstie is truly one of the kindest humans and most gifted and passionate Pole Dance artists and instructors that I’ve ever known! Her unique ideas and vision deserve their own space to grow and thrive. I am SO proud of her, and I know that she will be hugely successful as well as continue to share this art form with respect and integrity. Our relationship is as strong as ever, and we will continue to support each other and one another’s studios as well as collaborate on future events. We look forward to shared students and the growth of our community.
This is something that Kirstie has been dreaming about for some time, and I am thrilled to see her bring this to fruition! I look forward to seeing the space and dancing in it!
In related news, I am thrilled to announce that Karen Downey will be taking over as Studio manager come October! Karen has been an adored instructor at the studio for several years now as well as having tons of experience with administrative duties in this industry and others. Her knowledge, passion, and experience are vast and we anticipate a very smooth transition. I am so incredibly grateful that Karen has accepted this role. I know she is going to be amazing at it and I could not be more thankful to have someone who already knows and loves the studio as well as our students and instructors taking over these duties.

Hello beloved friends, fellow instructors, Mynxies, and beyond! Kirstie here, Instructor and Chief Admin of Mynx Academy! I have a very big announcement to share that I’m sure will bring about many feels but here it goes…

I’m leaving my positions as Instructor and Chief Admin at Michelle Mynx Academy of Pole Dance as I’ve officially signed a lease to start a new venture into my own studio [In] Flux Movement Arts! I will continue my classes at Mynx Academy until August, maybe September.

[In] Flux Movement Arts will hopefully open without delays Fall of 2026 in St. Louis, MO.

While I’m so excited to open this new studio space, I’m so sad as it feels like the end of an era at my home studio Michelle Mynx Academy of Pole Dance. I started teaching at Mynx June 2017 and then took over as Chief Admin in January 2022. I’m incredibly proud of everything Michelle, the Instructors, and I have been able to accomplish in my almost 10 years at Mynx Academy. I’m so thankful for Michelle, my fellow Instructors, friends, all the good studio owners, and all my students at all the studios I’ve taught over all the years and spaces since 2015. Without you all, I wouldn’t have the beautiful life I have and be able to move forward with such readiness. I love pole because I love you all and the community birthed from it. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

This is not at all goodbye! This is just a greater expansion of the STL pole community and I’m so excited for us all to flourish! Mynx Academy is in outrageously capable hands and I cannot wait for the future.
