Our next Student Employee Appreciation Week highlight is Barrett Wagner! Barrett worked as an MSA in Campus Y for 4 years, supporting programs and staff in a myriad of ways. After graduation, Barrett took a job with the Gateway Region YMCA as a marketing and communications specialist. She now supports Campus Y as well as 25 traditional YMCA locations and other programs. We are so proud and grateful to have Barrett in our Y community!!

Happy Student Employee Appreciation Week! We love all of our Campus Y student workers!
During her time at WashU, Samantha Kanner has served as a Member Service Associate (MSA) at Campus Y for four years. The MSA role is central to the Campus Y community, with student employees supporting daily operations such as tracking onboarding requirements (including background checks and Youth Protection training), preparing materials for programs and events, and providing welcoming customer service to all who enter the space.
As one of the first points of contact within Campus Y, Samantha has played an essential role in fostering an inclusive, engaging environment. Whether connecting students to volunteer opportunities or supporting large-scale initiatives like Blood Drives and community events, her work has directly contributed to advancing Campus Y’s mission of service and community engagsement.
