Today our Soulard School community honored the 25th anniversary of 9/11 with a day of service. Our project, Connected Communities for Tornado Recovery for 9/11 Day was funded by a grant from 9/11 Day and AmeriCorps.

Our Soulard School students spent the day with the incredible team, volunteers, and leaders at LOVE the LOU, learning what it means to be an engaged and connected member of their community.

Students and teachers packed donation boxes, helped prepare the Love the Lou campus for their community service day, participated in an on-site art project, and painted a beautiful mural on Love the Lou's building with St. Louis artist, Cbabi.

We’re so proud of our communtiy for showing up with donated household items. We were able to fill 25 large tubs with supplies that will be given to neighbors who are still recovering from the 2025 tornado.

This Friday, The Soulard School is participating in a school-wide service project called Connected Communities for Tornado Recovery for 9/11 Day with our friends at LOVE the LOU. Students in every grade have contributed. They’ve made notes and drawings of cheer and hosted a supplies drive for people in need. Our 4th and 5th graders will deliver all the items and help paint a mural to show our love for neighbors who are still rebuilding and persevering after the 2025 tornado.

Thank you to 9/11 Day and AmeriCorps for making this project possible!

We love our alumni and it was such a pleasure to get together with them this summer!

We're always rooting for our graduates and feel so lucky to have a hand in their development into rockstar humans. Don't hesitate to stop by and say hello or lend a hand in the kitchen 😀

We were sad to learn that our beloved "Baby Whisperer," Evelyn Foster, passed away. Evelyn cared for dozens of infants and toddlers at The Soulard School for more than 10 years before retiring in 2011.

Please keep her family in your thoughts.
