On Saturday, August 8, members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Omicron Eta Omega Chapter were proud to volunteer at the Beyond the Backpack Back-to-School event! 🎒📚✏️

We were grateful for the opportunity to roll up our sleeves, serve alongside others in our community, and help make the return to school a little brighter for students and families. 🫶🏾

Families were able to enjoy a one-stop experience filled with resources to help students start the school year strong—including free backpacks and school supplies, physicals, dental screenings, immunizations, shoes, haircuts, and plenty of family fun!

When our community calls, Omicron Eta Omega shows up! 💕💚 💪🏽

Today, Omicron Eta Omega and our families showed up and made our voices heard! 💪🏽🗳️ We turned out in numbers because we know that every vote matters.

As the 72nd Boulé comes to a close, we’re leaving with so much more than suitcases.

We’re taking home fresh ideas, renewed inspiration, meaningful connections, and memories we’ll cherish for years to come. Most importantly, we’re returning home re-energized and ready to continue the work of service, sisterhood, and excellence in our communities.
