Esteemed scholar Dr. Robert Hillenbrand, of the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, will deliver a lecture, “Christian images in Muslim dress: pictures of the Prophet Muhammad in the World History of Rashid al-Din,” at 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 8, in Room 142, Adorjan Hall at Saint Louis University.

The SLU Middle Eastern Student Association and Jewish Student Association jointly host an event about culture -- with some tasty food -- on Nov. 16 from 6-8 pm in the CGC auditorium. MES director Cathleen Fleck will present on the history and culture of Cairo, and students will share their own impressions.

Dr. Luke Yarbrough will speak as a part of the SLU Middle East Studies Annual Lecture series on Thurs., Nov. 9, 2017 at 4 pm. The lecture will be in the CGC on Saint Louis University's Frost campus. He will speak on "A Christian Shi'ite?! An Alternative Medieval Vision of Muslim/Non-Muslim Relations".
