We are packed to the gills with incredible programming this week!

Some Black People is back with The Kickback, where they bring the living room to the stage and improvise based on fun stories! That’s Saturday night @ 7pm.

THE JAM is happening this week which means that anyone can come up and play! Thursday @ 9pm.

We’ve also got YaaasAnd bringing your favorite q***r and ally performers to make you laugh Saturday @ 7pm.

Two variety shows this weekend, one a BRAND NEW show Friday at 9pm along with veteran Tiel Pearce ‘s show-a-palooza Saturday @ 9pm if you’re looking for improv + a little extra.

Temps are in the 50s this week and something in us is healing. It’s about patio weather, folks.

If you need a place to hang your hat, polish off a few sasparillas, laugh with your friends, and tell stories around a (possible) fire, the good news is that our doors are open.

The bad news is that we have great shows this week which means you’ll have to make some tough choices.

It’s a BIG week here at the old Improv Shop. Lots of incredible shows (per usual 😏) HOWEVER we would be remiss if we didn’t highlight a few things specifically.

1. IT’S GRADUATION NIGHT TONIGHT. Our Teams Level 2 students will be graduating after spending a year going through our program! They have one final performance so don’t miss your chance to cheer them on!

2. OUR BENEFIT SHOW TO SUPPORT The Heavy Anchor is this Friday at 7pm. Come buy a ticket and help our pals get back up and running!

3. POC LEAGUEEEEEEE SHOW THIS SATURDAY - STL’s first and only all person-of-color improv league is back and better than ever. If you have not caught this show yet, do yourself a big favor and change that this Saturday!

We haven’t even mentioned musical improv, puppet improv, stripping improv or the JAM, but we hope you’ll browse the carousel and learn more and find something you like. OK see you soon!

If you are in STL you may have seen that our pals over at The Heavy Anchor have had some unexpected hardship what with a car being driven through the front of their business.

They have consistently been a place where independent comedy is welcomed and we don’t want an unfortunate circumstance like this to slow them down for long.

Next week’s Asterisk improv show will be a fundraiser to help them recover some repair costs and get back up and running. So whether you love The Heavy Anchor or want to support independent comedy in St. Louis, we’d love to have you next Friday @ 7pm for a fun show to help these fine folks.

We hope you are able to enjoy Labor Day today. Do not forget to rest and drink water and laugh today to really soak up the time not working.

If you also want to not work on feeding yourself, our bar and kitchen are open tonight + another week of student shows and School Night to entertain you.
