This week, the Crusades Studies Forum (CSF) and the CMRS hosted Dr. Jochen Burgtorf of California State University, Fullerton. Dr. Burgtorf is the first visiting scholar that the CSF has hosted since the COVID lockdown began in 2020. Dr. Burgtorf's lecture this evening on refugees during the crusades had a great turnout, both in-person and over Zoom, including participants from overseas! Here, Dr. Burgtorf posed with members of the CSF executive board. Pictured from left are: Tom Morin, Jochen Burgtorf, George Summers, and Evan Mcallister. Photo by Nic Lewis

On s'y croirait presque, non ?
Le "Star Wars Day", c'est aussi l'occasion de rappeler ce que la science fiction doit au Moyen Âge : les épopées, les univers imaginaires... et bien sûr les chevaliers 🐴⚔️
Alors, May the 4th be with you ! 😉
