English: We are proud to announce our 2025 Independence Day celebration for Bosnia & Herzegovina!

This event will be hosted in collaboration with Webster University's Bosnian Culture Club.

The day of the event is Friday, February 21st, 2025, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. It will be on our campus at Saint Louis University, in the Wool Ballroom of the Busch Student Center (see the map on the next slide). Parking will be available in Laclede Garage.

All are welcome to attend, and there is no entrance fee. We will have traditional Bosnian food, dance, trivia, and more!

Bosanski: Ponosni smo što možemo najaviti našu proslavu Dana nezavisnosti Bosne i Hercegovine 2025!

Ovaj događaj će biti organiziran sa Bosanskim kulturnim klubom Webster Univerziteta.

Dan događaja je petak, 21. februar 2025. godine, od 19:00 do 21:00. Biće u našem kampusu na Univerzitetu Saint Louis, u Wool Ballroomu Busch Studentskog centra (pogledajte mapu na sljedećem slajdu). Parking će biti dostupan u garaži Laclede.

Svi su dobrodošli da prisustvuju, a ulaz se ne naplaćuje. Imat ćemo tradicionalnu bosansku hranu, ples, trivijalnosti i još mnogo toga!

Hello! Two of our members were recently rewarded as recipients of the STLBAC Community Engagement Grant and wanted to share a little about their project. "We are Elma Bjelevac and Amir Ugarak, and we were recently rewarded as recipients of the STLBAC Community Engagement Grant. Our goal is to plant 300 trees in areas that will benefit all members of our Balkan community. We hope to create a positive environment for ourselves and future generations by beautifying the community and promoting well-being while leaving a lasting impact. Some of the benefits of planting trees are, but not limited to, increased property values, healthier air quality, and the improvement of mental health.
Please, if you have the time, fill out our interest form for locations where you would like to see trees planted. If you would like a tree on your property, there will be another form sent out at a later date with more information.

Mi smo Elma Bjelevac i Amir Ugarak, a nedavno smo nagrađeni kao dobitnici STLBAC granta za angažman u zajednici. Naš cilj je da zasadimo 300 stabala na područjima od kojih će imati koristi svi članovi naše balkanske zajednice. Nadamo se da ćemo stvoriti pozitivno okruženje za sebe i buduće generacije uljepšavanjem zajednice i promicanjem dobrobiti, ostavljajući trajan utjecaj. Neke od prednosti sadnje drveća su, ali nisu ograničene na, povećanje vrijednosti imovine, zdraviji kvalitet zraka i poboljšanje mentalnog zdravlja.
Molimo vas, ako imate vremena, ispunite našu formu interesovanja za lokacije na kojima biste željeli vidjeti zasađeno drveće. Ako želite drvo na svom imanju, bit će poslat drugi obrazac kasnije s više informacija.

English: We are very pleased to announce our biggest event of the year: our Bosnian Independence Day celebration.

This event will be hosted alongside Maryville University's Bosnian Student Association, as well as Webster University's Bosnian Culture Club.

The event will take place on Friday, March 8th, 2024, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. It will be held at Maryville University in Gander Hall (refer to the map provided in the next slide). There is free parking all over campus; we have highlighted the closest spots to Gander Hall on the map.

This event is open to all, free of charge. We do ask that you fill out the Google Form located in our bio and RSVP for yourself, as well as the number of guests planning to attend with you. The event will feature traditional Bosnian foods, desserts, dancers, music, and much more!

We are delighted to have this event held at Maryville University and hope to have you all come and join us as we celebrate Bosnia and Herzegovina!

Ovaj događaj smo zajedno organizovali sa studentskom udrugom Bosne i Hercegovine uneverziteta Maryville i klubom za Bosansku kulturu uneverziteta Webster!

Dogadaj će se održati u petak, 8. marta 2024. godine, od 19:00 (7:00) do 21:00 (9:00) sati.
