Some of our teachers are going to have quite the new ink collection on Monday! Keep that loose change coming! We have two more days to submit your coin drive tattoo fund orders! No dollar or dime is too small and every bit helps us in reaching our goal for new playground picnic tables!

Our Tattoo Your Teacher fundraiser continues all week! Every donation this week helps us add picnic tables to the Bierbaum playground, giving students more room to gather, eat, and play outside. Hit the goal and you'll get to watch your teachers show off some temporary ink!

The week of September 14th, Bierbaum students have the chance to support their teachers through our Tattoo Your Teacher fundraiser. This is a PTO sponsored fundraiser that will support the ongoing beautification of our campus. Throughout the week, students can bring in donations for their teachers. Then on Monday, September 21st, our staff will show their school spirit by wearing temporary tattoos all day long.

Students love seeing their teachers get into the fun, and every donation helps make our campus a more welcoming place. Thank you for encouraging your child to take part.

Some of the best additions to our team started out as familiar faces in our hallways. Over time, five members of our Bierbaum staff have moved from substitute roles into full time positions. They came to us at different points, but each made the same choice for the same reason. They had already fallen in love with this school.

Today, Devin Gray teaches third grade, Austin Spurgeon teaches first grade, and Marisa Repa teaches kindergarten. Gracie Bondy serves as an early childhood education paraprofessional, and Michelle Wolff as a special education paraprofessional. Long before they signed full time contracts, they were the ones we called when we needed help, and they kept coming back.

Devin Gray put it best. "Bierbaum was like a magnet for me," she said. "Anytime I subbed, I just kept coming back for more. Everyone was very helpful and it felt like a team. I absolutely loved being a substitute." When full time opportunities opened up, the decision was easy.

We are proud that all five found their way onto the Bierbaum team, and our students are better for it.

Jewelry Creations class through Mehlville Community Education begins later this month! This course meets on Wednesdays from 3:35-4:35 p.m. Students will learn how to design and make wearable art through beading, stringing, crimping, metal stamping and shrink art. There are a couple of information nights coming up for our fifth-grade families interested in their child attending Tremont!

You're invited to join us for a Family Information Night for families of fifth graders interested in attending Tremont Treks! Family Information Nights will be held on Wednesday, September 23, and Tuesday, September 29, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Mehlville School District Central Administration Building (2900 Lemay Ferry Road).
