City Sewing Room is a non-profit organization providing hands on sewing instruction - from pillows to custom pattern designs to fashion wear, from beginner to seasoned seamstress. In addition to classes, you will be able to take advantage of our professional dress forms, sewing machines (including sergers!), Bernina Quilting machine, work tables, fabric remnants, and various sewing tools.

$80.00 will get you 10 hours of studio time and access to all the equipment and instruction you'll need!No project is too large or small, and with our open sewing times, you'll be able to drop in whenever we are here.

At City Sewing Room, we believe everyone should have a place to learn, create, connect, and belong.
Since 2016, this community has grown into a place where:
• Beginners sit beside experienced sewists
• Kids and adults learn new skills every month
• Volunteers generously share their time and knowledge
• Donated fabric and supplies are given new life
• Creativity is made more accessible through affordable classes, studio space, and our Makers’ Mart
• People come together not just to sew, but to encourage, teach, share, and inspire one another
As a nonprofit, our mission is simple, but it means everything to us:

One of our customers sat down at a sewing machine for only the 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 and created this beautiful shoulder bag for her sister, who was heading to a 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐲𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭 out of men’s ties. 💗

For just $10 𝒂𝒏 𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒓, you can walk in and start creating. No reservation needed. Just stop by the Makers’ Mart, pay the cashier, and head into the studio.

You’ll have access to a fully equipped sewing space with machines, cutting tables, and the tools and supplies you need to keep your project moving.
