It’s so much fun watching our students learn while having fun!

Leading a horse may look simple, but students are practicing important horsemanship skills, communicating clearly, paying attention to their horse’s body language, maintaining a safe position, and confidently guiding their horse around the arena.

They love getting the chance to take the lead, and the horses make some pretty wonderful teachers! 💙

Some days it is just too hot to ride. This was one of them. So we decided to take the horses for a mostly shady walk down the road to sightsee. They got some grass along the way which they loved.

This week the students got to practice naming the parts of the English and Western saddles and then as teams, one-handed cinching and putting the girth on!

Coach Kat helping Popcorn be all that she needs to be for her students. Horses are prey animals and out of the ordinary things can really scare them. Coach Kat believes in helping horses better understand the human world so that they stay calmer and enjoy working together with people. Popcorn is a special girl!

Have you ever ridden with an umbrella before? What silly thing have you introduced your horses to?

In horsemanship class hands on learning is our primary method. We want students to see and then get to feel what it’s like to do it.

We believe there is far more to horses than just riding. We want our students to develop into reasonable and educated horse guardians.
