What a way to begin a new academic year at Eden!

Our 2026 Opening Convocation was a powerful evening of worship, community, and celebration as we officially welcomed our new students, faculty, and staff into the Eden community.

Rev. Dr. Dietra Wise Baker brought a powerful and timely word, “Keep Your Head Up,” that lifted the roof and challenged us as we step into this new season of learning, ministry, and formation.

The evening was made even more meaningful as the choir from Centennial Christian Church ministered through song, followed by a powerful praise dance that brought another beautiful expression of worship to the celebration.

Following Convocation, the Eden community gathered for an ice cream social a sweet ending to a memorable evening and an opportunity for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends to fellowship and connect.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on campus and online as we officially opened the 2026–2027 academic year.

To our new students, faculty, and staff: Welcome to Eden. We’re glad you’re here.

Welcome to Eden: Learning, Community & Connection

A new academic year is beginning at Eden Theological Seminary, and we are excited to welcome our newest students into the Eden community!

New Student Orientation took place Friday evening and continued Saturday, with students participating both on campus and online. Throughout orientation, students had opportunities to connect with Eden faculty and staff, learn more about the seminary community, and prepare for the academic journey ahead.

Those joining us on campus also gathered for a meal in the Commons, creating another opportunity to build relationships and begin experiencing the sense of community that is central to life at Eden.

And this morning, the journey officially began as classes got underway for the Fall 2026 semester! From new students beginning their Eden experience to returning students continuing their studies, we are excited to see our classrooms and community come alive for another year of learning, formation, and growth.

To all of our students: Welcome—and welcome back! We are glad you are here, and we look forward to all that this new academic year will bring.

Here’s to a great Fall 2026 semester at Eden!
