Oakville Elementary School

The OES Kindergarten Sneak Peek Event was a huge success! We loved having the families get a peek at all the spaces their kindergarten students will visit around the building, and meet some friendly faces like the building secretary, the counselor, our cafeteria recess monitor, and our kitchen staff. We can’t wait for them to start school!!

Meet our fourth grade teaching team, Mrs. Beard, Mrs. Bostic, and Mrs. Hartmann. Although their collaborative journey officially began last year, their seamless teamwork makes it feel like they have been teaching together for decades. They are energized and ready to meet our new fourth grade Lions!

Meet the OES third teaching team, Mr. Groh, Mrs. Hecht, and Mrs. Lavac. This dynamic group brings their distinct personalities and energy together, collaborating and creating the best learning experience for our third grade Lions.

Meet the OES second grade team, Mrs. Erb, Mrs. Reitz, and Mrs. Skinner. This terrific group of teachers has been collaborating and teaching together for the last six years.

Join me in welcoming Mrs. Amanda Taylor to the OES team as a special education teacher. We look forward to her being an official OES Lion!

Here are a few words from Mrs. Taylor:
Hi everyone! My name is Amanda Taylor, and I’m delighted to be coming back home to OES as a Special Education teacher. After my previous time here as a long-term sub, I already know what an amazing team I’m joining, and I'm eager to work alongside you all again. When not in the classroom, I love camping, hiking, and enjoying every moment with my grandkids. Looking forward to a wonderful year ahead!

Meet the new OES first grade team, Mrs. Hoffman, Ms. Mehrmann, and Ms. Thieman. They started collaborating last week and are attending Professional Learning Community (PLC) training together this week. They are individually wonderful teachers who are coming together to create a dynamic team for our amazing students!

The Mehlville School District and the Oakville Chamber Of Commerce invite families of incoming early childhood and elementary school students to join us on Saturday for the Back-to-School Social!

Stop by Bernard Middle School (1054 Forder Road) from 9 a.m to 1 p.m. to meet new friends and school district staff, get ready for the 2026-2027 school year, explore offerings from area businesses, and enjoy a petting zoo and craft activities for kids! We hope to see you there! 💙

If you haven’t purchased school supplies yet, this weekend is the perfect time to do so! The Missouri Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday is from Friday, August 7, to Sunday, August 9. ✏️📚🎒

This weekend, the state sales tax will be waived on items like clothing, school supplies, computers and calculators. This includes purchases made both in store and online!

Supply lists for the 2026-2027 school year are posted on your child’s school website under “School Information.” You can print or bookmark a supply list, shop online or at the store of your choice.
