Delaney and Claire here from Strasbourg France! Today we are heading to paris so in honor of our time in Strasbourg, we thought we’d share some facts about the city with you all!!
Strasbourg is in the alsace region, an area in northeastern france that has switched between German and French control over the centuries. This makes for a very unique blend of french and german culture in the area, reflected in the architecture, food, and traditions! Strasbourg is home to many lovely rivers as the alsace region borders the Rhin. Strasbourg also holds some important European institutions such as the Council of Europe and the EU Parliament.
In this post you’ll notice many photos of one specific gothic building, that is the Notre Dame in Strasbourg. The beautiful gothic cathedral took over 420 to complete making it the tallest structure constructed in the middle ages. It is a distinctive redish color because of the particular sandstone used in its construction, only making it more of a marvel. You can appreciate the mass and beauty of this cathedral from just about anywhere in Strasbourg, though we agree it is just as beautiful every time you see it!

While much of Europe is sweating through a heatwave, I’m soaking in the fresh mountain air and cool alpine temperatures. 🌿⛰️ There’s something magical about escaping to the Alps—crisp mornings, breathtaking views, and the perfect weather for hiking and relaxing.
If you’re planning to study abroad in Germany, don’t miss the chance to visit Oberstdorf. It’s the perfect getaway to experience the beauty of the Bavarian Alps, recharge, and enjoy nature at its finest.

Scavenger Hunt: Bremen Edition #.
In Germany, the design of doors on historic buildings is rarely random. Different styles, carvings, colors, and materials can reflect the building’s age, purpose, wealth of the owner, religious beliefs, regional traditions, or architectural period.
I’ve started a mission to discover the most beautiful, unusual, and historic doors hidden around Bremen.
Want to join the hunt? 📸
Snap a photo of your favorite door in Bremen, share it, and tag me so we can build a collection of the city’s hidden architectural gems together.
