Do your tweens and teens use AI? My teen son mentioned a peer in his afterschool art class uses AI chronically. Every question, to digest the teacher’s seminar, to decide on his art, all of it. His description was interesting, as if the teen kept it turn on and sitting on the desk nonstop.

When people discover our programs, they often focus on the math. And we do believe !

But our programs offer more than math exploration. We offer something valuable to gifted and talented students: a chance to find their own ceiling and to be in a room with likeminded peers, some of whom might be more motivated or skilled than them.

This is a critical life skill that many children come across by elementary school. But for bright kids, they might skate through most of their k-12 education without having to try.

And that means when they DO need to try, they might lack , resilience, and study skills. Or they might think if they are struggling, it means the path is wrong for them.

For many gifted students, this can even be delayed until graduate school or their first “big” job. For me, it was medical school.

Our Elements program offers an opportunity for your child to grapple with these aspects long before the harder parts of life so that they’re prepared when they get to those tough roads.

A scientist has discovered a strange new eight-faced shape in which every face touches every other face, using a set of simple integer coordinates.

Mathematicians can define abstract patterns, describing which vertices, edges and faces should connect. But working out whether those rules can actually be turned into an object in three-dimensional space, without parts intersecting where they shouldn’t, can be extremely difficult.

Ruslan Mizhaev, an independent researcher and design engineer, has produced a geometric realisation of a genus-3 polyhedron – essentially a surface with three holes – made from eight flat, nine-sided faces. It has 24 vertices and 36 edges, with three faces meeting at every vertex.
