Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is one of those programs that meets with initial confusion from adults who have never experienced religious education built around practical arts. It super charges ones understanding of the Gospels to build a map of the Jordan river or grow a vine along a trellis to represent the relationship between the soul and the Lord.

We had great meetings with our friends at the Herzog Tomorrow Foundation last week. Some of the most important ideas to our community I'll outline here:
1) Across both campuses, we currently have 20 students who can qualify for MOScholars dollars this year.
That means by increasing our tax credit contributions, we can get up to 20 more JP2 students to have their tuitions covered. This is a huge opportunity for our families, and it would be a shame to waste it. It would also be poor stewardship of our resources.
2) The way to help these families by reserving your tax credit contribution before the end of December! It is an amazingly simple process. And will help ensure we can support our many growing JP2 families. Make a donation and receive that donation that you made back as a tax credit in your tax return. https://treasurer.mo.gov/MOScholars/ReservationApp
3) The MOScholars program is expanding. Next year, more of our families will qualify, and siblings of current MOScholars families will qualify as well. If you are a MOScholars student this year, next year your siblings will qualify. Not only will this help secure the financial stability of our families, it will help ensure the stability of our school. There is every reason in the world to take advantage of this.

St. John Paul II Preparatory School South has a growing Daytime CGS Program:
Level I CGS will be offered from 8:40am-10:00am on Mondays and Thursdays to non-students. Cost will be $360/student for 32 sessions throughout the school year. Please join us in congratulating the JPII high schoolers on achieving an all-time school record score on the CLT10! Our school score of 86 shatters the previous school record of 79, and is likely to earn JPII a national ranking in the fall. We are thrilled to again confirm that JPII's curriculum continues to prepare students to perform with excellence on the chief nationwide measurement of classical learning.

These results are a testament to the hard work and discipline with which our students have applied themselves this year, as well as the dedication of our faculty, the leadership of High School Dean Mr. Garren and Vice-Principal Dr. Allington, and the many hours of parent co-teaching. Well-deserved congratulations one and all!
