This month, students have been putting on their composer hats and composing pieces inspired by their favorite fictional character or scene from a film or book! Scenes from stories such as Artemis Fowl, Jurassic Park and Home Alone have been filling our studio with beautiful music and instrumental composers hard at work! 🎼

"Frédéric Chopin played the piano in the dark throughout his entire life. A habit he started as a child, this apparently helped him find inspiration. He would always put out the candles in the room, and even when playing at an event or party, he would ask to extinguish the light in the room. Chopin was shy, and only gave around 30 public concerts in his lifetime; he preferred to play to small gatherings and loved the intimacy of the salon."
