Cold and rainy night but worth it to see the boys having fun in their Halloween costumes 🎃

Had soooo much fun at the conference today!!!

Just a lovely afternoon by the pool…

I was really excited to announce that we were expecting baby #2…

However we went through an unexpected miscarriage last week.

The baby never developed beyond the gestational sac.

It sucks having to make a “I was pregnant and I lost the pregnancy” announcement at the same time. 😞

But I feel confident that our little spirit baby is still coming in the near future.

I feel it’s important to share the news of this miscarriage because when you personally go through something like this - it’s really hard and you feel like you’re the only one going through it.

Then you start sharing what’s happening and it’s like everyone else has already joined the miscarriage club and I’m thinking “WTF…why isn’t anyone talking about this?!”

We are all bleeding and losing our babies yet no one really know what’s going on.

Right now Im working through all the feelings of shame and loss coming up and have signed up for an online pregnancy loss support group to keep processing the emotions.

Will keep you all updated on this pregnancy journey as an advanced maternal age woman 🤦🏻‍♀️🤰🏼👼🏻

We made Beef Wellington, mushrooms stuffed with Brie and sun dried tomatoe rissoto.

Such a fun way to spend a night away from the kiddos 😉

Ran a 5K in under 30 minutes.

Helped donate to the Celebrate Life foundation.

Got to role model for my son what it looks like to be healthy and active on the weekends.

It’s been a good Saturday so far 🥳🏃‍♀️

Fun times in Chicago this weekend visiting Uncle Brenden and Uncle Beau Chard!

Our activities:

-went to the farmers market at Lincoln Park (which made Lincoln very excited that there is a park name after him 😜)

-made fish tacos in the boys swanky town house in the ”cityburb”

-I got to take a fabulous hot yoga class at the studio where Beau works at

-ate dinner at Time Out Market

-visited some playgrounds

-got stuck in Chicago traffic

It was a fun little road trip for us.

Love that Lincoln is getting old enough to do more hiking with us.
