Puerto Ricans:

We are STRONGER in UNITY, RESILIENT, and PROUD. We are bonded by heritage, lifted by community, and unbreakable in spirit.

The island was named “Borikén” by our native Indians, meaning the "Land of the Valiant and Brave Lord." Our people are built on a foundation of strength and collective solidarity. We embrace diversity and multiculturalism, carrying forward a spirit of bravery as we stand tall against every challenge that comes our way. Through every obstacle, we’ve shown what it means to rise together, honoring our roots while looking toward the future with courage. Our history is filled with stories of triumph, reminding us that together, we have the power to create a world that values every voice and uplifts every person. What was said on October 27th about Puerto Ricans and our island will not break us; instead, it has united us to stand against prejudice, racism, and segregation.

And we echo the words of the Puerto Rican poet Mariposa Fernández

"We are the children of resilience,
the descendants of warriors.
Our souls carry the weight
of our ancestors' struggles,
their triumphs etched in our hearts,
their legacy alive within us."

Auditions for The Rize faith-based production of ‘Mama Kicky’s Mixx-Nutz Christmas Celebration.’

Get ready for the holiday party of a lifetime! *Mama Kicky Mixx-Nutz Christmas Celebration* is the ultimate festive comedy, where chaos, laughter, and unexpected connections fill the night. Mr. Mixx, with his big heart, invites everyone he meets—literally—ensuring no one is alone on Christmas Eve. Meanwhile, poor Mr. Nutz is left cooking for an apartment full of characters, including Pedro, Carmen (who’s hilariously oblivious to the love right under her nose), and Sister Steph, who brings along little Amy from the foster home. And then there's Mama Kicky—bold, filter-free, and unafraid to say whatever’s on her mind, stroke or not! With the apartment decorated by Jimmy and Tom (Mr. Mixx’s new neighbors from the elevator), and the promise of guests ranging from the Bronx to Broadway, you never know who’ll show up next. As Mr. Nutz says, “Mixx invited everyone from Harlem, half of Manhattan, and the entire cast of *The Color Purple*!” And a heartfelt surprise for Mr. Mixx.
