Meet Dr. Scott A. Myser!
Inspired by his own orthodontic journey as a teenager, Dr. Myser discovered the life-changing difference of a confident smile. "When my braces were removed and I looked in the mirror, it was the first time in my life I was ever proud of my smile," he recalls. "Shortly after that moment, at just 14 years old, I decided I wanted to have that kind of impact in the lives of others."
Dr. Myser completed his orthodontic residency at Baylor College of Dentistry, achieved board certification in 2012, and renewed his certification in 2022. He shares, "Successfully completing the voluntary, next-level credentialing process to become an ABO-Board Certified orthodontic specialist serves as an example to the rest of our team for the above-and-beyond energy we bring to each patient at every appointment."
At Myser Orthodontics in Aledo, Texas, "Awesomeness. Joy. Community." has been the practice's heartfelt mission for the past decade. Beyond creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Myser and his team strive to make a meaningful impact by delivering "Awesomeness" in everything they do; sharing "Joy" by starting each morning with prayers of gratitude and continuing the day with smiles and laughter; and supporting their team, patients, and extraordinary "Community" in every way possible. Dr. Myser says, "Our goal is not only to take care of our patients' teeth, but to become an impactful part of their lives."

Meet Dr. Lynn Bode!
In sixth grade, Dr. Bode knew she wanted to be an orthodontistâand she has never looked back. She shares, "Being an orthodontist is rewarding because I can maintain a relationship with my patients while solving a complex problem, and the end result is a self-confident smile."
A graduate of Temple University's orthodontic residency program, Dr. Bode initially submitted and banked cases for board certification, but then life got busy. Before she knew it, she had started a practice and had two children, leaving very little free time. Her desire to achieve board certification persisted, so she set a goal to complete the process before her youngest child turned one year old.
"With two kids under the age of two, it had been a while since I had taken time to focus on something for myself," she says. "I didnât realize how proud I would be of this accomplishment. Becoming ABO-Board Certified gave me a sense of professional and personal satisfaction." The experience continues to influence her practice today, as she evaluates treatment outcomes using ABO criteria and views each case as an opportunity to grow. "Grading my work helps me to become a better orthodontist." Dr. Bode achieved board certification in 2018.
Dr. Bode's patient-centered approach was inspired by her own experience as an orthodontic patient. She recalls how her orthodontist spoke directly to herânot just her parentsâduring her first consultation, a moment that left a lasting impression. Today, at Richmond Orthodontics in Richmond, Indiana, Dr. Bode strives to create that same experience for her patients by ensuring they feel informed, involved, and empowered throughout their treatment journey.
