Lutheran North has a new Principal: Jason Becker.
Jason isn't new to our hallways - for the past three years he's been teaching math, serving as Dean of Chapel, coaching track, and sponsoring the Peer Ministry Program. He knows this school, he knows our students, and he knows what makes Lutheran North special.
When the opportunity to serve as Principal came up, he prayed a simple prayer: 'God, close the door if you don't want me to serve here.' The door never closed.
His vision is straightforward - a school where students can know and experience Jesus, where staff, families, students, alumni and the community feel valued and connected, and where faith and academics go hand in hand.
"I want to make this a place where people feel valued and connected - and I want to back that up with relationships. My door is always open."

The building is back in business.
Teachers are back on campus planning lessons, preparing classrooms, meeting together, and kicking off the new school year with chapel. There's a lot happening behind the scenes before students walk through the doors.
We're getting ready for another great year at Lutheran North Middle & High School.

Introducing Lutheran North's theme verse for the 2026-27 school year.
Isaiah 45:18-19 - "For this is what the Lord says - he who created the heavens, he is God; he who fashioned and made the earth, he founded it; he did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited - he says: 'I am the Lord, and there is no other. I have not spoken in secret, from somewhere in a land of darkness; I said these things openly. I told the descendants of Jacob, Seek me and live.'"
This year we are reminded that our God is not hidden. He speaks clearly, He creates with purpose, and He calls us to seek Him in everything we do - in our classrooms, on our courts, and in our community.
The chapel banner featuring this verse was inspired by the vision and artwork of student Aniya Cretter, N'27. Well done, Aniya.
Here's to a great year, Crusaders.

Meet our new Dean of Students: Paris Grimmett.
Mr. Grimmett joins Lutheran North with 10 years of experience spanning K-12 administration, teacher preparation, and higher education. He holds an MBA, MAT, and Ed.S in Educational Leadership - and is currently a Doctor of Education candidate at Saint Louis University, expected to graduate in May 2027.
He is licensed in both teaching and administration through DESE and brings a proven track record of mentoring educators, building positive school culture, and strengthening community relationships.
Outside of school, you'll find him with his wife and son, pursuing his faith, or open water diving - yes, diving.
We're confident Mr. Grimmett is the right person to lead our students and contribute to the Lutheran North community.
Welcome to the Crusader family, Mr. Grimmett.

Lutheran North alumni making an impact in St. Louis.
Elten Latham, N'26, was featured on Channel 5 last week after helping organize a teen performance and gathering event at Central Baptist Church in the Central West End. Elten's goal was simple - provide a safe, fun place for teens to gather. The event featured live music, entertainment, food and drinks, and a secure environment for young people to enjoy themselves.
This is exactly what we hope for our graduates - using their gifts to serve their community and make a real difference for the people around them.
Proud of you, Elten. Keep going.
