Once per semester, our campus pauses. Classes let out for the morning and students, faculty, and staff gather for a special time of prayer for our Seminary community, the church, and the world. It's a time-honored tradition we call Day of Prayer.

Dr. Drew Martin guided yesterday's time with a series of devotionals on Revelation 5.

It was wonderful to host prospective students and their families last week for our fall MAC Preview Day. They got a chance to tour our campus, meet our faculty, sit in on classes, and learn more about the distinctives of our CACREP-accredited counseling program.

We host preview experiences like this one multiples times a year to give prospects a chance to experience life as a Covenant Seminary student for a day.

: Dr. Dan Doriani, Professor of Biblical and Systematic Theology

A faculty member at Covenant Seminary since 1991, Dr. Doriani has served intermittently as Academic Dean and/or Vice President while teaching full-time.

From 2003–2013, he served as Senior Pastor of Central Presbyterian Church (EPC) in Clayton, Missouri and from 2023–2025 as Interim Pastor at Briarwood Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Birmingham, Alabama. He has served several other interim pastorates.

Dr. Doriani also serves as a board member of The Gospel Coalition, as Executive Director of Center for Faith & Work St. Louis, and has authored or co-authored many books. He holds a BA from Geneva College, an MDiv and PhD from Westminster Theological Seminary, and an STM from Yale Divinity School.

We were blessed to welcome PCA Stated Clerk Rev. Fred Greco to Covenant Seminary's campus yesterday, and to receive the ministry of the Word from him in chapel. Rev. Greco preached a sermon on Revelation 4 entitled "Before the Throne," reminding us that the One seated on the throne in John's vision is the One who is worthy of loving, adoring, and following.
