One of our Wildly Important Goals (WIGs) is improving academics, and what better way to boost reading skills than with PUPPIES? 🐾 Ms. Boone from KIPP Wisdom Academy partnered with Duo Dogs for the Paws to Read program—where trained therapy dogs lend a listening ear during library time. The more you read, the more you know! 💙📖

⭐️UPDATE ⭐️ Snow Day Announcement – Wed, Feb 19

Good news! After reviewing our closure day model, we have confirmed that today, Wed, Feb 19, will be a traditional snow day. ⛄

This means schools will be closed, and there will be no AMI (Alternative Methods of Instruction) day.

What This Means:

❄️ For Students: NO SCHOOL!– students do not need to attend or complete any assignments.

❄️ For School Staff: NO SCHOOL! – staff are not expected to work today.

🆕New communication to staff and families will be shared shortly. Check your email for more information.

📚 However, students will participate in an At-Home Learning Day (AMI Day). 📝
To ensure attendance is recorded for an AMI Day, students must complete class assignments:
✔️Pre-K: Check the Learning Genie app for the virtual assignment.
✔️K-8: Complete your AMI packet. If you did not receive or if you misplaced your packet, assignments will be provided upon return to school.
✔️High School: Check Google Classroom for updates and assignments. If unable to log in, contact the teacher for help, or a packet will be provided upon return. All assignments will be graded. For questions, please contact your school administration or grade-level lead.

Mr. Williams, Lead Teacher at KIPP High School, is guiding students through a powerful Black History Month art project! 🎨✨ Students are using painting to express their emotions on peaceful protest and human rights—covering topics from women's equality to BLM and more. A creative way to learn, reflect, and inspire change! 💡🖌️

For today's Wildly Important Goal (WIG) Wednesday, we are celebrating attendance! 📚🎉

Specifically, students who showed up to celebrate the 100th Day of School, dressed like they were 100 years old! 👵🏽👴🏾🧓🏼

✨All 3 of our elementary schools incentivized attendance last week with fun 100th Day of School activities and celebrations.

Some of our kids looked so convincing, we almost asked them for advice on how to lower our taxes and where to find the best early bird specials! 😂
