Did you know that the AIMS program hosts 7,000 students for hands-on medical and science programming every year? Middle and high school students from around the region visit Young Hall to participate in auditorium presentations, cadaver demonstrations, and dissections and labs. Additionally, AIMS educators also perform 200 interactive Distance Learning lessons a year. Phew! We’re busy!

In fact, spring is the busiest time of year for AIMS, and the last 2 weeks have been no exception. With 2 auditorium presentations, showcasing an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair and a Medicolegal Forensic Autopsy, 18 cadaver demonstrations, 2 pig heart dissections, 1 sheep brain dissection, and a blood splatter analysis lab, 1,200 local students have experienced an adventure in medicine and science in the last 14 days!

Visit the AIMS website to learn more about our programming or register your high schooler for our summer workshop. Also, be sure to check back in during the late summer/early fall to schedule your school’s AIMS adventure for the 2026-2027 school year.
