Ishy AEneas Moore & Sovereign Somatics | Deanna Danger are bringing our workshop ➡️ “What’s My Role In The Village: Map Your Medicine & Power” to Kyle Brandt-Lubart !🫱🏾‍🫲🏻🍄‍🟫🌈

This workshop guides you to locate your role in community - understand what gifts you carry, what you need from others, and how different kinds of people make collective work possible.

Through guided mapping exercises, somatic art & movement activities, small group dialog, and a little creative whimsy, you’ll walk away with a map of your medicine & power, and genuine connection with the people in your local community.

This workshop draws from two frameworks: Deepa Iyer’s Social Change Ecosystem Map, which names the many roles that sustain movements; and the Three Sisters (corn, beans, and squash) a companion planting tradition rooted in Indigenous agricultural knowledge that shows us how different plants, like different people, need each other to survive and thrive. 🌽🫘

Meetups are now alternating 3rd Saturdays and TUESDAYS! 🩵 We heard y’all, many healers work on Saturdays so we’ve opened up a Tuesday evening option for community building for the q***r healers of St. Louis! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️⚜️

Q***r Hearts Healers Cafe isn’t your typical, dry, networking event. This is about being in *conversation*, being in peer-to-peer support, being connected across the healer spectrum because it’s often difficult to receive the kinda support we give in our role to community.

Deanna here of Sovereign Somatics | Deanna Danger 👋🏻 I initiated this project because I saw connection gaps between the types of healers & healing modalities out here in STL. I haven’t lived in STL a long time (since 2019), and I’ve found it difficult to be in deeper connection with other healers. And look, Missouri is very much not the easiest state to offer healing to q***r & trans folks. It’s actually really vital that we be in relationship with each other. Not only for our clients, students & patients, but certainly for each other. 🩵

So if you’re a healer out there, make it a point to keep this event on your calendar. 📅

I want you to look inside your relationships & see where this is happening right now… I bet it’s there, and I bet it’s hard to navigate!

You can sense a shift simmering, or that a BREAK in the cycle is desperately needed, but that actual, actionable step through the portal feels unreal, impossible, or inaccessible. This is why body-up, relational somatics are sooo helpful for figuring out HOW to navigate challenge.

Look, eclipses are unstable by nature, but I’m not the kind of person that is gonna fear-monger the astrology, OR guide you on some high vibe, manifestation ritual yt wellness culture bu****it.

What eclipses really reveal, is that our life constantly moves through the spectrum of shadow & light. And when the lights go out momentarily and you get that weird, eerie stillness, you tend to be able to see some s**t in the dark that you’re not normally able to see. Most people run from what they don’t want to see - that’s how hurt & harm happens. But taking a beat to turn TOWARDS is how liberation happens.

That’s what my guidance is always, ever about. How to unlock sovereignty. In both our own bodymind, and in our community.
