Greetings, Mason Families,

As we prepare for the first day of school, please carefully review our arrival and dismissal procedures. These procedures must be followed to protect the safety of every student and keep traffic moving efficiently.

Morning Arrival

Doors open for student drop-off at 8:00 a.m.
Students are tardy after 8:20 a.m.

Arrival doors will close at 8:20 a.m. each day. On the first day of school only, arrival doors will remain open until 8:30 a.m.

Students arriving after the doors close must be walked into the main office and checked in by an adult. Please do not drop off a tardy student and expect them to walk to the front door alone.

Driveway Drop-Off

Families must follow the designated driveway route and staff directions.

Dropping students off in front of the school is not permitted. Families who attempt to do so will be asked to move and follow the established protocol.

Families may not enter the driveway from Southwest Avenue in front of the school. Doing so creates a safety hazard and does not follow our school protocol.

Parents and guardians must remain inside their vehicles during driveway drop-off.

Please make sure students are ready to exit quickly with all belongings, including their book bags and lunchboxes.

Students in grades 3–5 do not need to wait until the vehicle reaches the door before exiting. Once your vehicle is safely inside the designated driveway drop-off area, students may begin exiting. This will help keep traffic moving.

Parking and Walk-Up Arrival

If you plan to park and walk your student to the designated entrance, street parking is available. Please do not park in spaces reserved for staff.

Students may never be dropped off in the middle of the street. This is extremely dangerous. Staff will remind families who do not follow this expectation, and unsafe incidents will be reported to Safety and Security.

First Day of School

On the first day, families are invited to join us on the playground and say their goodbyes. When it is time for students to enter the building, all families will be asked to exit through the gymnasium.

There is no need to walk students to their classrooms. Our staff will safely guide students to class, and learning will begin immediately.

Early Pick-Up

All early pick-ups must take place before 2:45 p.m. If a student needs to leave after 2:45 p.m., the family must follow the regular dismissal procedures. This allows us to maintain a safe, orderly dismissal for all students.

Families who do not follow the established procedures will be redirected by staff and asked to comply with the school protocol.

Teachers and staff reported back to duty this week and we welcomed them with goody bags. The countdown is on until the school is brimming with students in less than two weeks on the 24th!

12-year-old LOLA SCHNEIDER GALLAMORE was last seen Monday, May 18th, 2026 around 2:30pm in the area of Fyler @ Watson in St. Louis.

If seen or if you know the whereabouts of LOLA, please call 911 or contact her mother Jamee Gallamore.

Join us in the Mason Garden on Wednesday, May 13th at 3:30 for Plants & Popsicles! Plant vegetables and flowers and enjoy a sweet treat. 🌿🌼
