Saint Louis Public Schools offers free developmental screenings for children ages 3 months to 5 years old who have not entered kindergarten.
The screenings are conducted through the Saint Louis Public Schools Parents as Teachers program and a specially trained screener will use the Ages and Stages Questionnaire or DIAL 4 tool to gather information about your child’s development.
Developmental screenings will provide information about your child’s speech, language, motor, cognition and their overall development. A health, vision and hearing screening will also be completed.
Screenings are available to all Saint Louis City residents at no charge and are currently being offered in-person this summer at Stix and Wilkinson Early Childhood Centers.
Schedule your appointment by calling 314-331-6152 or 314-320-6732.

Why should your child have a yearly developmental screening?
According to the CDC: "Many children with developmental delays or behavior concerns are not identified as early as possible. As a result, these children must wait to get the help they need to do well in social and educational settings (for example, in school, at home, and in the community)."
Saint Louis Public Schools PAT offers FREE yearly develpmental screenings. Contact our PAT office by calling or texting 314-320-6732 to schedule a screening.
