Elliot, thank you for representing St. Isaac Jogues Parish and School so well, we are so proud of you!

"The City welcomed a new Mayor For The Day, Elliot Buckman, on Monday, August 17, 2026. Mayor Buckman, who won the title for school, toured City Hall and gave the stamp of approval on several building plans before checking out the new facilities in the city, including the renovated Library, upcoming Police Station and the freshly opened Fire Station. Mayor Buckman was also present and opened the City Council meeting with a gavel. Mayor Elliot spent time with members of the St. Clair Shores Fire Department today. 🚒🧯

Elliot learned first-hand that an important quality of a good mayor is someone who prioritizes building relationships — especially with people whose servant leadership ensures the safety and well-being of our St. Clair Shores community. Elliot got to meet with firefighters, try on gear, slide down the fire-pole, go inside the fire trucks and even break down a door.

Thank you, St. Clair Shores Fire Department for all you do! And thank you, Mayor Walby, for making today extra special and memorable for Elliot!
