California 2026 Day 1 and 2

The first couple days in Cali have been exceptional. We flew Southwest Airlines because they give you two free bags (Luckily we booked before May 28, because they no longer do this) and they flew into Ontario California. We would probably stick with Delta in the future even though they fly into LAX.

We arrived in California and took the shuttle to our rental car. How ironic is it to have a White Bronco in LA? Never really thought about it until TLO asked what color was OJ’s Bronco, White?

We had dinner at Haven City Market. What a great place if you’re ever in Rancho Cucamongo, California. We choose Milos Hawaiian BBQ, i highly recommend the Katsu Chicken. It comes with rice and macaroni salad. Huge portion of food. You can probably share a meal.

Day 2: San Diego

We left mid-morning for San Diego. It’s about a two hour drive from Rancho Cucamonga, absolutely beautiful scenic view through the mountains. We went straight to the world famous San Diego zoo. My advice to you. Do the Bus tour first then plan what you want to see in the zoo. It’s too big to do in one day. We choose the Giant Pandas, Elephants and Lemurs. We also rode Skyfari, but i didnt see much because of that fear of heights. It’s a real thing. T loved it though. If you’re ever in San Diego, we highly recommend the San Diego Zoo. Get there early and plan out what you want to see. I would also recommend to downnload their APP.

For dinner, we went to Olde Town, San Diego. The Olde Town Mexican Cafe is the place to go. The Tortillas are made fresh and the Crispy Carnitas are full of flavor. We topped the night off with a tour of the Whaley House, the most haunted house in all of San Diego.

Exciting News for 2020 (June 23-July 1, 2020)

I would like to announce Costa Rica: Turtles and Toucans. This is one of my favorite trips to experience with Students. Your student will be able to experience the Amazon, Volcanoes, Hot Springs, Waterfalls, the Monte Verde Cloud Forest and a Zip Line Canopy tour.

During this tour, students will be able to see exotic animals and plants that you can only see in Costa Rica. This tour also includes all meals plus a cooking class, Banana Plantation visit and Dance Class.

Over the past ten years of taking students abroad, I have witnessed growth academically and growth in confidence of students. One of my favorite things to experience on a trip is to see a shy student blossom. This will also strengthen a students college application and allow students to earn college credit for an experience Abroad.
