"Early childhood educators cannot overstate the importance of sensory play in the educational process. It is the foundation of all the skills children will use in school learning to read, write and solve math and science problems. Once a child has these experiences, they are able to draw upon the body memory and cognitive memory of their experiences when faced with new situations. Further, the process of observation is a skill in and of itself. Keen observation skills give a child an advantage in school and throughout life."

"Children learn as they play.
Most importantly, in play children learn how to learn."

Our Preschool class is finishing up the alphabet this week, and we are so proud of all they have accomplished this year. It was fun watching them learn and grow through activities, crafts, and play. We are super excited for their upcoming graduation. Who doesn't love a 5 year old in a cap and gown?

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!

Children love to read! It is not only important for kids to be read to at a young age, but they also enjoy it immensely. This week at Wee Love we are learning about Community places. One of our favorite places to learn about is the library. We are not only grateful for our local library, but all the other community places, like the Post Office, in our area. Thank you to all our workers!

The kids have been having so much fun with our Circus theme this week. Of course this is not surprising considering they get to do crafts and activities with clowns, animals, and Circus snacks.

Happy
Today we celebrate that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, so that we may live forever with Him. He sacrificed himself, all in the name of love. Jesus’ love knows no bounds, and He didn’t stop there. Three days later, the stone of the tomb was rolled away, and Jesus resurrected from the grave.
Praise God for Good Friday, thank Jesus for his endless love, and never forget what He did for us. We celebrate Easter, because we literally owe Him everything.

We are learning about SPACE this week. If you have ever truly studied space, you know that it is pretty incredible. The teachers do such an amazing job planning crafts and activities for this topic, and the kids love it!

If you think learning is boring, you're doing it wrong!

"Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather."
This week the kids are learning about weather. Living in Michigan, we are so lucky to be able to enjoy all the different kinds of weather in each and every season.

We are just wrapping up our Dental Health Week at Wee Love. One of our parents at the Day Care sent in an awesome video about the importance of taking care of our teeth. We also had some fun activities and crafts that went along with this theme. It's never too early to start taking care of your teeth😁🦷
Wee Love Day Care will be closed tomorrow, February 16th, due to inclement weather.

Whether you bundle up to go outside or choose to stay warm indoors, snow always provides endless fun. Some of the best sensory items is the nature all around us. Here at Wee Love, we always look forward to winter and all the fun learning activities that comes with it.

We are so thankful for our community helpers (especially during this time). There are so many workers and helpers out there that we can learn about. We are dedicating this week to appreciate as much as we can about as many as we can.

This week we are learning about the letter N, Michigan, and mittens. Isn't it interesting how much Michigan looks like a mitten?

We start this week off with our new theme of Winter Animals. It's hard to find something that kids love more than animals. So as you could guess, they love this theme.

We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Our Daycare was full of crafts, parties, and smiling faces as we ended the year 2020. At the start of this new year we very appropriately begin our new theme titled 'Ice and Snow.' With this new snowfall, it's an exciting time for kids to explore, create, and have loads of fun.

"It's the most wonderful time of the year"
The month of December is such an exciting time. It is so fun to celebrate all things that come with the holidays. This week at Wee Love we will be focusing on Gingerbread, Baking, and the letter "I"

This week we will be enjoying some new activities and crafts, while learning about the letter H and our Five Senses.

We will continue reviewing the letter G this week. However we will be moving on to our new theme of Thanksgiving and Thankful Thoughts. The kids have already been having so much fun with this theme.
We wanted to make all aware that we are unable to check our messages from this site at this time. We are working to try to get this fixed. However, in the mean time, please visit our website and email us at weelovedaycare.com with any questions.

We start this week with our new theme: Fall, Leaves, and the letter G. The kids have already started making leaves, collecting leaves, and playing with leaves. There are so many things you can do in the fall season!

This week we move on to the letter F. There are so many Fun words and activities with the letter F. We also will be exploring Dark/Light and Shadows this week.

We are continuing with the letter E for this week. However, we are moving on from pumpkins and animals to Manners and Neighborhood Signs. What a great season we are in to remember our manners😃

This week's theme is Pumpkins, Nocturnal Animals, and the letter E. This week always brings so many fun activities and art projects. We are definitely enjoying this fall season at Wee Love.
