The countdown has begun! Registration is now open for the 4th Annual JAMS/APPP/OPMP International Online Peer Mediation Tournament, and we invite your school or organization to join peer mediators from around the world for an unforgettable experience in leadership, communication, and conflict resolution.
Since its launch, the International Online Peer Mediation Tournament has brought together outstanding student mediators from elementary, middle, high schools, and youth organizations across the globe to showcase their skills in a friendly international competition. More than a tournament, this event celebrates empathy, teamwork, and the power of young people to peacefully resolve conflict.
Why Participate?
Your students will:
Compete with peer mediation teams from around the world.
Strengthen communication, active listening, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Receive professional feedback from experienced mediation judges.
Earn international recognition for excellence in peer mediation.
Compete for championship awards, certificates, and bragging rights!
Tournament Highlights
Three-round, basketball-style elimination tournament
Teams submit recorded mediations from their own school or approved location.
Professional judges evaluate each mediation using a standardized scoring rubric.
Schools receive coaching opportunities and constructive feedback throughout the tournament.
Elementary, middle, and high school divisions compete with peers at the same grade level.
Who Can Participate?
Schools, districts, youth organizations, and community mediation programs with student peer mediators are encouraged to register.
Each team consists of:
2 Student Mediators
2 Student Disputants
There is no limit to the number of teams your school or organization may enter.
Tournament Schedule
Tournament Season: October 30 – February 28
Three exciting rounds culminate with international champions announced in March.
Registration
The registration fee is $40 per team and includes tournament participation, judging, feedback, and eligibility for awards (a limited number of scholarships are available for teams). Attached is a link for registration for the tournament.
