What’s a better way to wish STL a Happy 314 Day than writing an ode to The Gateway Arch? Elektrodinosaur, a group featuring Lindenwood alumni, Garrett Sherman and professor, Justin DiCenzo is currently being featured in the latest episode of Nine PBS’ Living St. Louis. Their single, called Gateway Arch was released on 314 Day alongside the music video.

The vocals for this song were recorded at Lindenwood University’s recording studio in J. Scheidegger. You can find the link to the Living St. Louis segment in our bio.

Show announcement! 📣 See Lindenwood’s experimental project Saturday, May 9th, 8pm at Dissonant Works.

Endeavor is a four-piece combo that offers an eclectic blend of improvisational jazz and electronic soundscapes with a heavy emphasis on experimentation. Formed in 2017 by Adam Donohue, professor of music business and jazz studies at Lindenwood University, Endeavor features a rotating roster of Lindenwood staff, students, and alumni who contribute their own unique instrumental textures to craft conceptual sonic illustrations.

Joining Endeavor on the bill will be Damon Smith on double bass, who will be performing a solo set using avant-garde playing techniques and angular atonality to create an abstract sonic experience. Also joining is interdisciplinary visual/sound artist NNN Cook , who will present a dreamlike spatialized sonic environment utilizing woodwinds, synthesizers, cassette tapes, and micro-percussion.

Join us for an evening of improvisational jazz and electronics that will span the reaches of exploration.

Our Wind Ensemble and Choirs had amazing performances February 23rd and 24th for their Winter showcases.

The Wind Ensemble took a conversational approach, encouraging audience members to ask questions between pieces.

The Choir concert featured Concert Choir, Voices Only (our a ca****la group), Gospel Choir and the University Chorus. Wonderful soloists included Nicole Colombatto, Jack Maniaci, Natalie Sanders, Mar’Sean Cooper, and Vaughn Myers.

If you weren’t able to attend, both performances are now available to watch at full quality on our YouTube page, accessible through the Link tree in our bio.
